My Story

Andrew Laycock

I always say that my spiritual journey started one winter's evening in 2005, when, within the space of a few months, my business collapsed, I lost my home, and my relationship broke down. I would say I was left with nothing, but I did keep the cats. When your life changes, and you feel that you are not in control of what is happening to you, there comes a defining moment when you realise that you are either going to sink or swim. This epiphany moment for me happened on a petrol station forecourt in Sheffield on 4th January 2005 when I discovered that the bank had cancelled all my cards. Asking the Universe for help, for if I'm being honest there wasn't much else I could do, I discovered a five pound note which had fallen down the side of the drivers seat, and managed to scrabble together with some loose change enough money to put petrol in the car to get home.

A funny thing happens when we put our trust in the Universe. It feels very much like the Universe is on our side, but doesn't want to interfere until we ask it to. A few days later, whilst clearing the garage for my impending move, I found a book on Feng Shui, in a corner behind a chest of drawers that the previous owners had left. Reading the book was much more pleasurable that finishing clearing the garage, so I sat and read it from cover to cover. To say it was enlightening is an understatement. That book literally changed my life.

In my corporate life I'd qualified as a coach, and I knew how to help others. I just didn't apply the principles in my own life. Taking a pen and a piece of paper, I wrote down my goals, how I wanted my life to change in the next 12 months, and started to analyse what had gone wrong, and what I had been doing right. I then applied the principles of Feng Shui in my new home and immediately started to see changes happening in my life. A work opportunity came through, much better than any I'd had before, then that led to another. I received a financial payment I wasn't expecting. Within 12 months I'd moved to London, was renting a flat in Paddington, and was able to make substantial payments to pay off the huge debts I'd been left with when my business failed.

I knew that what had helped me could help others and so, in 2008, I became a certified Feng Shui practitioner in California and, as a Feng Shui Consultant, started helping people harmonise their external environments with their inner energies to change their lives. This led me to create the 12-Step Life Goals Programme, integrating coaching into my practice to offer a more holistic approach to personal development.

Since then, as a qualified and certified trainer and coach, I’ve assisted countless individuals from diverse backgrounds in their personal growth journeys. By putting the skills and knowledge into practice in my own life, I also gained the confidence to follow my life purpose and pursue my dream of becoming a writer. My training courses based around Feng Shui, and my intuitive coaching sessions using my oracle decks and the tarot are designed to provide the clarity and guidance needed to navigate life’s challenges and achieve your goals.

In addition to coaching, I write spiritual and personal development books to empower you to live your best life, and have created three oracle card decks; Animal Wisdom, Fairy Wisdom and Dragon Wisdom. My passion for storytelling also extends to mystery fiction, which I write under a pen name. In 2025 my plan is to weave these two threads together, by creating a new mystery series based around the mind, body and spirit world. Watch this space!

I look forward to helping you unlock the mysteries of your life and achieve the fulfilment you deserve.
